Jackson Squared | Artist Statement
"My eye for the weird, the quirky and surreal has always made me a collector of discarded objects. The imperfect and asymmetric have always spoken to me with a special voice. This made me fall in love with and relocate to New Orleans. And it fired me up when working on Jackson Squared. Most of my work as a professional photographer involves making people, products and places look their very best. Sometimes, beyond their very best. Jackson Squared called for stepping out of that role. Most of my working photography involves a great deal of planning and anticipation what will happen. Bring a plan to Jackson Square and you risk missing treasures. Spend time patiently observing in Jackson Square and it never fails to offer surprises."
